Affiliate Disclosure

How we disclose affiliate links, how we earn, and why our recommendations reflect operator value rather than commission size.

What affiliate links mean on this site

Some of the outbound links on SellerGains are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and sign up for or purchase a product from a partner company, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are marked with an asterisk (*) or explicitly disclosed within the recommendation card.

How we earn

We participate in affiliate programs operated by individual SaaS companies (for example, tools aimed at Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, and TikTok Shop sellers) and by multi-program networks such as ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Impact, and PartnerStack. Commission structures vary by program: some pay a one-time fee per qualified signup, others pay recurring commissions tied to the customer's ongoing subscription.

What we recommend vs. what we earn on

Affiliate revenue does not dictate our recommendations. We recommend tools and services based on their fit for cross-border ecommerce operators — price-to-value ratio, feature coverage for the use cases our readers have, documented reliability, and alignment with the platform policies our readers operate under. Several tools we mention do not offer affiliate programs; several affiliate programs we are approved for are not recommended on the site because the product underperformed our evaluation.

When two products serve the same use case and both have affiliate programs, we disclose both and rank them on merit, not commission.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, specifically 16 CFR Part 255. Where a specific article or tool page references a product with an affiliate relationship, the asterisk marker and "Affiliate link" label on the recommendation card satisfy the "clear and conspicuous" disclosure requirement.

Readers outside the United States may be covered by local equivalent regulations; this disclosure applies site-wide regardless of reader jurisdiction.

Questions or corrections

If you believe a specific affiliate relationship is not properly disclosed on a page, or if you want to contest the placement of a recommendation, contact the operator via the email listed on the privacy page.
